14.

love knows no virtue,
no merit; it loves and
forgives and tolerates
everything because it
must. we are not guided
by reason.

thanks google homepage for this deliciously incompatible quote of the day. i disagree.
i suppose that a man who's name the word masochist derives from would believe whole-heartedly in half-truths. he must have been disappointed with this thought when he met other human beings.

there are pitiable people, maybe not many, but few, are guided solely by reason and trapped in it's tangle of contradiction and doubt. this must suffocate any possibility of sewing seeds of love and cultivating that love until it arises as a guiding force. what a dull life without risk this must yield.

it is a pity to deny love it's chance to inspire our lives, fill us to the brim of possibility, and lead us into a new light, and maybe new truths regarding our world, our place, and ourselves.
