good work finds the way between pride and despair.
it graces with health. it heals with grace.
it preserves the given so that it remains a gift.
by it, we lose loneliness:
we clasp the hands of those who go before us, and the hands of those who come after us;
we enter the little circle of each other's arms,
and the larger circle of lovers whose hands are joined in a dance,
and the larger circle of all creatures, passing in and out of life,
who move also in a dance, to a music so subtle and vast that no
ear hears it except in fragments.

another books been made.
this one arrived one night while i was listening to Lucinda. her feminine touch to this well-known song inspired me to work towards that sort of peaceful satisfaction through making. so in the pages i wrote satisfied mind again and again...and again. jeff buckley and johnny cash both sang a version of this song, speaking to the sentiment's influence, impact, and long-standing truths.
satisfaction, as we all know, is a slippery fish, and as far as i see it, sometimes it's nothing short of a wonder.
my favorite verses:
money can't buy back your youth when your old,
or a friend when you're lonely
or a love that's grown cold
the wealthiest person
is a pauper at times
compared to a man
with a satisfied mind
to greeting goodness at our doorsteps.
cheers, friends.
I love, love, love this. Just found my yoga mantra for today...
